Judy Hobson is an award winning journalist and a playwright, passionate about health, education and relationships. She is also available to help with journalist training and to advise PRs and their clients how to approach the media.

Judy's cancer coverage over the past three years earned her a fellowship from the European School of Oncology. When she won the 2009 Excellence in Cancer Reporting Award at the National Cancer Research Institute conference the judges said her engaging style explained technical issues very clearly.

They said: ‘Judy’s articles enable those suffering from cancer or whose loved one has cancer to keep informed about research and treatment breakthroughs. Her stories arm them with facts and give hope.’

Judy has also received an award from the Medical Journalists' Association for an outstanding contribution to journalism and an award from Research Into Ageing for an article on incontinence.

Judy is a former Times journalist and women's editor of the South China Morning Post, Hong Kong. She writes for newspapers and magazines and is currently secretary of the Guild of Health Writers.

She looks at new techniques in medicine for Choice magazine; discusses health issues in Woman's Weekly and writes about complementary medicine for Health Matters as well as contributing to the health sections of The Sun, Daily Mail, Bella and Take A Break. Judy also enjoys doing personality profiles and nostalgia pieces for Yours.
